Police arrested a central Florida father two weeks after his 5-year-old son shot his 2-year-old sibling.
Palm Bay police on Wednesday arrested 37-year-old Schuman Lafaille, who is charged with two counts of culpable negligence, child neglect causing great bodily harm and other charges.
Lafaille remained behind bars Friday, Brevard County Jail records showed. It was unknown if he has an attorney.
Florida Today reports that the 5-year-old shot the toddler on Nov. 29 with a .38-caliber gun.
The 2-year-old was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando. The child's condition is not known.
