Alberto Cutié is officially married, Episcopalian style.
The controversial former Roman Catholic priest tied the knot Friday for the second time in as many weeks, this time in a religious ceremony in front of about 50 family members, friends and priests.
The Miami Herald is reported earlier Friday that Cutié, who is on the fast track to becoming the most controversial priest in the Roman Catholic and Episcopalian churches simultaneously, would say "I do" in a super exclusive religious wedding ceremony at 7 p.m.
This has to be a bummer to most Miamians who have had a front row seat to Cutié's personal life ever since tabloid pictures surfaced with his holy hands down the swim pants of his fiancée.
The wedding was at the Spanish Monastery, a historic church in North Miami Beach, with Bishop Leo Frade of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida officiating.
Reports have said Cutié, 40, hired off duty city police officers as security since the Roman legion has officially become off limits to him.
Cutié's guest list did not include the Archdiocese of Miami, which he spurned for his fleshly love and a new religion earlier this summer.
It's funny how a little vow of celibacy can turn into a tabloid windstorm that blows you into a new faith. And then there is that pesky lawsuit, alleged love triangle and an arranged deportation. Oh, and the co-worker who claims the marriage is a cover-up for Cutié's attraction to men.
Technically, Cutié has already married Ruhama Canellis, as they were wed in a civil ceremony in front of a Coral Gables judge about a week ago.
But we all know it isn't an official marriage until a priest is involved and some holy water. This time, when Cutié takes a vow, let's hope he can keep it.
