One Firefighter Injured in Hallandale Building Blaze

One firefighter suffered a non-life threatening injury while putting out a fire that burned for about 80 minutes at a commercial and residential building in Hallandale on Friday, officials said. Two others were evaluated on the scene and then released.

The Red Cross relocated three adults from the home, officials said.

Authorities are trying to determine what caused the fire near Foster Street and 5th Avenue. Chopper 6 flew over the scene, where black smoke can be seen coming from the building.
