25 Treated After Pepper Spray Goes Off at High School in Miami

More than two dozen people were treated at a Miami high school Thursday after they were exposed to pepper spray, officials said.

The incident happened at Braddock Senior High School on Southwest 147th Avenue, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said.

Miami-Dade school board officials said a student had pepper spray in their backpack and it accidentally discharged in a classroom.

Officials said 25 people including students were exposed to the spray but none were taken to the hospital.

No other information was immediately known.
