Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a massive fire at an apartment building in Opa-locka Friday.
The three-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building near 24th Avenue and Northwest 135th Street, officials said.
Footage showed flames shooting out of the room of the building as firefighters shot hoses from ladder trucks.
The building's 94 apartments were evacuated and there were no reports of injuries, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Michelle Fayed said.
Some 45 units and 100 firefighters responded to the scene, officials said.
Several apartments were destroyed and the Red Cross responded to help at least 20 displaced families, officials said. Some of those families said their apartments were broken into and items were stolen. Police are investigating those claims.
The cause of the fire will be investigated, Fayed said.
