Several firefighters responded to a Fort Lauderdale auto body shop Friday morning after a fire broke out.

The fire started around 4 a.m. near M & M Auto Body at 805 Northwest 12th Street, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said.

Heavy smoke and flames were found at the scene and the fire spread to some surrounding warehouses, officials said.

It took firefighters over two hours to get the blaze under control. One official said the amount of stuff packed into one of the warehouses made it more difficult to fight.

No one was injured and authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
