Tree Service Worker Electrocuted: Officials

The worker was injured Monday afternoon, authorities said.

A worker in a tree trimming bucket was electrocuted on Monday, authorities said.

The incident occurred at 15th Street and NW 30th Avenue.The man was transfered in extremely critical condition to Ryder Trauma Center and was pronounced dead at the hospital, Miami Fire Rescue said.

Fire Rescue initially said the worker was from Florida Power & Light but later said the person worked for a tree service.

FPL spokeswoman Heather Kirkendall said authorities asked the company to de-energize the lines while they investigated.
