A 15-year-old boy is accused of slitting the throat of his girlfriend's mother after planning the attack with her 13-year-old daughter.

The Ocala Star-Banner reports the woman is recovering after live-saving surgery on Sunday.

Deputies said the woman's 13-year-old daughter lured her into the garage early Sunday, where the boyfriend attacked her. He then went inside and held the knife to the father's throat but was somehow persuaded to take the bleeding woman to the hospital. There was no word on why no one in the house called 911.

According to an arrest affidavit, the teen dropped her off at the emergency room at Munroe Regional Medical Center. Officials there called the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

The teens were arrested hours later.

Deputies said the teen first told them that he had been walking by the house, heard a commotion and went inside to investigate. Later, the told deputies that he and his girlfriend planned the attack last week.

The arrest affidavit says they talked on the phone and on Facebook to work out the details, finally deciding it would be best to "ambush" the mother in the garage. The girl had him take off his shoes when she let him in the house Sunday morning and helped him find a knife before he hid in the garage.

According to deputies, when the mother was lured into the garage, the teenager told her that he wanted to be with her daughter, and that he could take care of her. He then apparently slashed the woman across the neck before going inside to confront her husband.

The husband was not injured.

On the way to the hospital, the teen asked the woman to promise that he and her daughter could be together and that she wouldn't sue him for the attack, the affidavit states.

The teens were each charged with two counts each of conspiracy to commit murder and attempted second-degree murder. They are being held without bond at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center.
