A former Miami Beach police officer has barricaded himself inside a Pembroke Pines home, sources said. The man was involved in some sort of domestic dispute with his wife at the home on the 19000 block of Southwest 60th Court inside the Laguna Isles gated community. NBC 6's Justin Finch reports.

A man identified by sources as a former Miami Beach Police officer was found dead inside a Pembroke Pines home Wednesday night, police said.

After the man barricaded himself inside the home on the 19000 block of Southwest 60th Court, police were not able to communicate with him for hours, Pembroke Pines Police Sgt. Carlos Corretjer said.

Police then entered the home at about 8 p.m. and found his body, Corretjer said.

The man was involved in some sort of domestic dispute with his wife at the home inside the Laguna Isles gated community.

Police continue to investigate, Corretjer said.
