A school bus carrying 43 students from Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale was sideswiped by a dump truck on a I-95 off-ramp Monday afternoon, officials said.

One student was being taken to Broward General Medical Center, the Broward County Public Schools said.

The crash happened on the I-95 South ramp at Exit 25 to State Road 84. The truck remained on the scene, the Florida Highway Patrol said, and the left lane of the ramp was blocked.

The bus was following route 2087, the school district said.
