It may be Friday the 13th, but it could be a lucky day for some cats at the Humane Society of Broward County.

All Broward Humane Society cats will have their fees waived Friday at the main shelter at 2070 Griffin Road and the shelter's three Petco locations:

9960 Glades Road, Boca Raton
6200 South Dixie Highway, South Miami
1470 East Hallandale Beach Boulevard, Hallandale Beach

The cats will all be spayed or neutered and microchipped before being given up for adoption. They will also receive preliminary vaccinations, a 10-day limited health care plan and leukemia testing. New cat owners will be given a cardboard cat carrier to take their new pet home in.
