A South Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for driving the getaway car in a robbery that left two clerks dead.
A Palm Beach County judge gave 23-year-old Marcus Jerry five life sentences Friday. He was convicted Wednesday of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder and robbery.
Authorities say 26-year-old Travis Jackson and 25-year-old Pasco Reynolds robbed a Delray Beach store in December 2012. The South Florida Sun Sentinel reports that the robbery left 68-year-old Alfonso Hunter and 56-year-old Reginald Taylor dead.
Trials fo Jackson and Reynolds are scheduled for April. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for both of them.
