A 1-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after she was found floating in a pool in Lauderhill Sunday.
The incident happened at a home in the 7300 block of Northwest 35th Court, Lauderhill Police said.
Officials said the girl's mother was in the bathroom when she found her way to the pool. The mother discovered her in the pool, pulled her out and began giving her CPR.
Authorities arrived and took over CPR and the girl was transported to Plantation Hospital, where she was in the intensive care unit late Sunday.
The child was breathing and crying, officials said.
