A 13-year-old cardiac patient was able to leave the hospital Thursday just in time for her 8th-grade prom.
Yolette Caprice recently underwent open heart surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital.
“I am just happy to be here and I know I’ll be fine,” she said. “I know I’m a miracle too. So I’m good.”
Caprice was born with two rare heart defects. Her latest surgery is the third open heart procedure she has underwent since her birth.
But that hasn’t stopped her yet. Caprice is now eager to attend the prom at New River Middle School with her friends. She told NBC 6 she already picked out her dress.
