Grace Disbanding in Atlantic, Pacific Hurricane Weakening

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Grace is disbanding as remnants of the onetime tropical depression degenerate into an open wave out in the Atlantic.

Elsewhere in the Atlantic, another tropical depression is expected to pass well east of Bermuda and forecast to become a tropical storm later Wednesday or overnight. The depression is centered about 260 miles (420 kilometers) east-southeast of Bermuda and moving east-southeast at 3 mph (6 kph).

In the Pacific, Hurricane Linda is weakening rapidly. The hurricane's maximum sustained winds have decreased to 80 mph (130 kph) with expectations it would become a tropical storm sometime later Wednesday.

Linda is centered about 275 miles (440 kilometers) south-southwest of Punta Eugenia, Mexico, and moving northwest near 13 mph (20 kph).
