Grandmother Shot as Home is Riddled with Bullets: Miami PD

A grandmother is critical condition after police say an unknown gunman peppered her northwest Miami home with bullets Thursday night.

Miami Police say the woman, Sabrina Rozier, was shot several times in her home on Northwest 65th Street. Police say a teenager was also on the property at the time of the shooting. The teen's relationship to the woman is not immediately known.

Rozier, who is in her 50s, is a bus driver for Miami-Dade Transit.

Footage showed as many as 60 evidence markers for bullet casings and a neighbor said they heard dozens of shots fired.

"Everybody got down on the ground, you know that's bad," Lisa Leonard said. "We don't know where they were shooting at but I know it was coming from down in that direction."

Police say they are looking for one suspect, possibly more, who drove away from the scene in a dark colored vehicle.

"She is a nice lady, everyone is nice in that house," Leonard said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
