Delray Sibling Deaths Suspect Guilty in Gun Case

Clem Beauchamp pleads guilty in illegal weapon possession case

The man police say is a suspect in the deaths of two children whose bodies were found stuffed in luggage and floating in a Delray Beach canal pleaded guilty to an unrelated weapons charge in federal court in Fort Lauderdale Monday.

Clem Beauchamp, 34, pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a homemade silencer. Two other weapons-related charged were dropped.

Beauchamp, who is being held without bail on the charges, has not been charged in the deaths of 6-year-old Ju'Tyra Allen and 10-year-old Jermaine McNeil, the brother and sister whose bodies were found stuffed into separate pieces of luggage dumped in a Delray Beach canal on March 2.

Police say Beauchamp was the boyfriend of the kids' mother, Felicia Brown, whose body was found in a landfill last summer. He is also a suspect in her death.

Brown was set to be a key witness against Beauchamp in the gun case, prosecutors said.
