Hard Rock Stadium to be Sprayed For Zika Two Days Before Dolphins, Hurricanes Games

Even with their games being played over 15 miles from the two hot zones in Miami-Dade County, the Miami Dolphins are stopping at nothing to help keep fans safe in the fight against Zika while attending games at Hard Rock Stadium.

An article in the Palm Beach Post detailed how the team has been spraying the area around the stadium as a precaution against the spread of the disease, including treating drainage areas and eliminating as much standing water as possible.

There has also been spraying of areas around trash cans and landscaping both inside and out of the stadium to help employees be safe as well.

The spraying has gone on every two weeks and will continue two days prior to events at the stadium including home games for the Dolphins and the Miami Hurricanes.

The Dolphins are scheduled to return to the newly named and revamped stadium on September 1st, playing their final preseason game against the Tennessee Titans. The Hurricanes will play their first game two days later when they host Florida A&M.
