Heat: Chris Bosh to Enter All-Star Three-Point Shootout

Chris Bosh will represent Miami in the 2016 Three-Point Shootout at the NBA All-Star Game

All-Star Weekend just became more interesting for the Miami Heat as Chris Bosh will take part in the Three-Point Shootout.

This is the first time in Bosh's career that he will be a part of the famous contest. In previous All-Star Games, Bosh has participated in other events such as the skills challenge. Bosh who will also play in the All-Star Game itself, had great success in those skills events in recent years.

Miami has a long and prosperous history when it comes to showing off its three-point ability. Not only will Bosh be the seventh Heat player ever in the event, but he could become the fifth to win it. Previous Miami winners include James Jones, Daequan Cook, Jason Kapono and Glen Rice.

Bosh's three-point ability has been a game-changer for Miami, and has allowed the team to spread its offense out. Bosh is not only able to dominate on the inside, but he's reliable from deep. The 11-time All-Star leads Miami in three-pointers this season with his 78, which also is a career-high for Bosh.

Not only is Bosh draining threes at a good pace, but he is doing it with efficiency. Bosh is making over 36 percent of his trey attempts which ranks him 23rd in the Eastern Conference in that department.

The other competitors that have been confirmed for the Three-Point Shootout include Devin Booker, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Kyle Lowry, Khris Middleton, J.J. Redick and Klay Thompson.

The Three-Point Shootout will be part of NBA All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 13.
