Heat Continue Success on Road With Win in Utah

The Heat improved to 5-5 on the season with their 111-110 win over the Jazz on Thursday

The Miami Heat won a second straight road game with their 111-110 win over the Utah Jazz on Thursday.

Despite being five games under .500, the Heat are an even 5-5 now in road games this season. Miami has struggled mightily at home however, which has led to the dismal overall record.

Miami was shorthanded once again, but did the most with what it had. The Heat used a strong effort from the bench to hold onto a slim margin and finish off this win. James Johnson and Wayne Ellington combined for 41 points themselves in reserve roles.

Goran Dragic had a tremendous night for Miami with a team-leading 27 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds. Dragic went 2-3 on his three-point tries as well to help put Miami over the top.

Hassan Whiteside fell just shy of a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. Whiteside has reached double-doubles in nearly every game this season, but has stumbled a little more as of late. The center had a steal, but no blocked shots in the win.

The current road trip will come to an end on Saturday against the Portland Trail Blazers at 10:00 p.m.
