Heat Fall in Game Three, Trail Series 2-1

The Heat lost Hassan Whiteside early before falling to the Raptors on Saturday

The Miami Heat trail the Eastern Conference semifinals 2-1 after falling to the Toronto Raptors 95-91 on Saturday.

Miami lost Hassan Whiteisde after only eight minutes of action on the court. Whiteside would fall to the court and grab his knee. After limping to the locker room, Whiteside was ruled out for the remainder of the game. The center's availability for Miami's next game is currently unknown.

The Raptors took a nine-point lead into halftime as they took advantage of Whiteside being off the court. Toronto's center Jonas Valanciunas was able to dominate inside without Whiteside around. That was until Valanciunas injured his ankle and was also lost for the game.

With Wade seemingly finding the fountain of youth, Miami would go on a run in the third quarter and tie the game. The Heat outscored the Raptors by nine in the third quarter alone with Wade contributing most of the work. Wade ended up with 35 points in the game overall.

Udonis Haslem was kept busy due to the lack of minutes from Whiteside. The veteran gave Miami 22 big minutes which featured eight points and seven rebounds. Haslem fought for rebounds and gave a full effort when it was needed from him most.

In the final minute of the game, the Heat were unable to get a big basket. Toronto would go on to put the game away at the free-throw line.

The teams will stay in Miami for Monday's pivotal fourth game at 8:00 p.m.
