Heat Finish Trip With Win in Utah

The Heat ended a 5-game trip with a 100-95 win on Friday over the Utah Jazz

A five-game road trip for the Miami Heat ended on a good note Friday when they beat the Utah Jazz 100-95.

The win gave the Heat a 2-3 record on the trip and a 7-6 mark on the road this season. The Heat have won two of their last three games and have an 11-12 record this year overall. Miami currently holds the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference.

Going into the half, this looked like it would be an easy win for the Heat. After two quarters of play, Miami led the game by 15. That changed however after the teams returned from the locker room for the third quarter. Utah outscored Miami by 11 in that quarter and the win wasn't decided until the final seconds of the fourth quarter.

Dwyane Wade led the way for Miami in the win with 29 points, seven assists, three rebounds, a block and a steal. Wade was efficient hitting 10 of his 16 attempts and made his line three-point try. The veteran made some key free throws down the stretch to seal the win as well.

As he has been all season long, Chris Bosh was effective with 22 points and nine boards. Bosh also had two blocks but did struggle in one area. The big man was only 1-5 on his trey attempts but Bosh is still close to 40% on three-point tries overall this year.

With Josh McRoberts sidelined due to a knee injury, Justin Hamilton found himself in the starting lineup. Hamilton gave Miami 29 strong minutes and the Heat were +10 with him on the court.

The Heat will return home on Sunday for a game with the Chicago Bulls at 6:00 p.m.
