Heat Stay Hot With Third Straight Win

The Heat held off a Phoenix Suns rally to secure a third straight win on Thursday

The Miami Heat kept the wins coming with a 108-92 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Miami took a 14-point lead into the half and increased that lead more during the third quarter of play. Phoenix would attempt a rally and made it a game during the fourth game, before Miami was able to lock down the win. The victory was the third in a row for the Heat and gives the team a 35-26 record on the year.

Leading the way for Miami's scoring attack was Dwyane Wade with 27 points. The All-Star added six assists, four rebounds, and shot an impressive 9-10 from the free-throw line. Wade was also able to stay out of foul trouble while picking up only one personal foul. This allowed Wade to play his game at the highest level possible, and remain heavily involved on both ends on the court.

Goran Dragic who has been one of the consistent players in the entire NBA during the second half continued that in this win. Dragic had 25 rebounds, seven rebounds, four assists and a steal. Dragic has done a solid job of not only finding the basket, but passing to his teammates over the past couple of weeks.

Hassan Whiteside's double-double streak ended at six, but the center still posted a solid line. Whiteside had nine points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes. Whiteside also added five blocks and a steal along the way.

Josh Richardson dislocated his left middle finger during the contest, which became an immediate concern for a team with depth issues. The guard ended up with six points and should be available for Miami's next game.

The Heat will try to make it four wins in a row when they travel to Philadelphia on Friday for a game against the 76ers.
