The Miami Heat fell behind early to the Boston Celtics and were not able to battle back in their 105-95 loss on Monday.
With the loss, the Heat have now dropped two of their last three games and have a 10-6 record overall this season. That mark is good enough for fourth best in the Eastern Conference as Miami sits only 2.5 games behind first place Cleveland.
Dwyane Wade did all he could do to keep Miami out of the loss column with his 30 points in 32 minutes. The All-Star also added four rebounds, four assists and five steals. Wade did turn the ball over six times, but a lot of that was due to the ball behind in his hands often.
Chris Bosh had a solid game as well with 21 points and ten rebounds in 39 minutes on the court. Bosh also blocked a shot in a strong game on both sides of the court for the big man.
Head coach Erik Spoelstra went with an 8-man rotation for the game with Gerald Green making another spot start. Coming off the bench were Josh McRoberts, Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson. The bench has been a strength for Miami this year but that wasn't the case in this loss. The best of the group was Johnson who contributed ten points in his 20 minutes.
Green has been seeing big minutes in his recent starting duty and had 36 minutes on Monday. The extra play could be taking a toll on Green who looked taxed at times. The guard ended up with only nine points and was inefficient on his field goal attempts.
Miami will try and turn things back around on Thursday when it travels to Oklahoma City for a game with the Thunder.
