Heat Win Again Without Wade and Bosh

The Heat have managed to string together two straight wins without their two biggest stars

The Miami Heat won for a second straight night despite playing without their two big stars with a 114-94 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

Once again Miami had to take the court without Dwyane Wade (sore knee), and Chris Bosh (blood clot). The Heat did welcome back Hassan Whiteside after the big man served a suspension on Friday. Miami also saw big contributions from several players that are typically relegated to the bench.

Whiteside put together a huge game despite coming off the bench. The center had 25 points, 22 rebounds and two blocks in 29 minutes of play. It was a dominant night all around for Whiteside who tied a career high with the 25 points. If he can stay out of trouble, Whiteside should continue to post big lines the rest of the way. Without Bosh on the court, Whiteside's importance becomes even greater to Miami's hopes.

Goran Dragic who had been mentioned in trade rumors in recent days, showed why he is an asset for Miami. The veteran guard had 24 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in what was a second straight big effort.

Luol Deng had a big game as well with a double-double of his own. Deng's 27 points led the team and he added ten boards as well for good measure. Without Bosh and Wade's contributions, Deng has seen the ball in his hands more and has done a fantastic job of finding the basket.

Making another start was Justise Winslow who filled in for Bosh once again. Winslow had 14 points and six rebounds in 26 minutes. The rookie has shown flashes of greatness and continues to be considered a big part of Miami's future.

The Heat will rest up on Sunday before hosting the Indiana Pacers on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
