Heat to Not Pursue Keeping Chris Bosh: Riley

The Chris Bosh era with the Miami Heat is close to being over.

Speaking with reporters during the team’s media day on Monday, team president Pat Riley says the team is preparing to move on from the 13-year NBA veteran:

Bosh failed a physical last week, causing the team to say he would not be allowed to attend their upcoming training camp or be cleared to practice.

The two time NBA champion has been sidelined for much of the last two seasons with two separate incidents involving blood clots that have required hospitalization and medication. Bosh had said he intended to return to the court last season before agreeing to sit out the remainder of the year following a very public disagreement with the team.

Bosh joined the Heat before the 2010-11 season along with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to help lead the franchise to four straight appearances in the NBA Finals, winning in 2012 and 2013.
