Need some wheels? Hertz on Demand is launching a new car share program on Miami Beach.

Under the program, people can reserve a car online and pick up the car at any of six specific parking garages, which are located from 5th to 42nd Street.

"It's simple," said Hertz On Demand spokesman Arnaud Simeray.

Once a renter registers online, a key fob will be sent in the mail. If the car has been rented ahead of time, the vehicle can be picked up with that key fob.

Gas and parking are included in hte fee, and the prices range from $9 an hour plus tax, or starting at $63 per day.

Simeray said the city program is currently the only one of its kind in Florida.

It's also been introduced in Boston and New York, plus university campuses like Florida Internationla University.

The program will start off with a fleet of 20 vehicles, including hybrid and electric options.
