Police in Miami-Dade County have broken up the fifth marijuana grow house this month. The latest grow house was busted by Hialeah Gardens Police Thursday afternoon.

Hialeah Gardens Police discovered the grow house in a garage at a home near the intersection of NW 105th Avenue and 132nd Street.

Police said they found a fully functional grow house with 18 plants weighing 105 pounds and estimated street value in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The arrested man was identified as Sandy Morales Castro, 33. Castro faces charges of trafficking marijuana, armed marijuana trafficking, and other charges.

"It's not safe he's putting the community in danger. That's not cool at all," said neighbor Jennifer Perez.

Castro's stepmother, Ada Perez, said Sandy had been living at the home for awhile, but claims no one knew about the grow house.

"It's incredible we were living in this house and we didn't know he had thath," Ada Perez said.

A few of the grow houses discovered in Miami-Dade County earlier this month were found underground and one had a cockfighting ring also at the home.
