Authorities are investigating after hidden cameras were found in three separate women's restrooms in the Florida Keys.

The miniature cameras were found hidden in coat hooks that were mounted on the walls, Monroe County Sheriff's Office officials said. The cameras were found at Anne’s Beach on May 26th, the Circle K Store at the 99.8 mile marker of Highway U.S. One on May 28th and in the women’s bathroom at Harry Harris Park in Tavernier on Tuesday.

Authorities said the devices are sold by various companies as "home security devices." They look like white coat hooks with a very small hole on the top and use motion detection cameras to take video.

Detectives have told public works departments to check all the bathroom at county and city facilities. They also asked anyone with a public restroom to be on the lookout.

"Anyone who has a public restroom on their property needs to check them closely," Sheriff Rick Ramsay said in a statement. "If you find anything suspicious you think might contain a hidden camera, don’t touch it. Call us right away and we will respond."

Authorities didn't say who may have put the cameras in the restrooms but said detectives are investigating.
