Hit and Run Driver Kills Teen in Boynton Beach

Police in Boynton Beach are searching for a hit and run driver who killed a teenager Saturday night.

Boynton Beach Police told NBC affiliate WPTV that 15-year-old Khiar Raymond was walking home from an event at Boynton Beach High School with his older brother and a friend. They were heading north on the side of High Ridge Road when the car Raymond and kept going. The teen was rushed to Delray Beach Medical Center, where he died.

Police believe the car is a red or maroon Mercedes-Benz four-door sedan with damage to the passenger side front bumper and mirror. They say it is possible the car was exiting the area of Quantum Lake Villas just before the crash.

Surveillance cameras at Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Station No. 5 captured the suspect vehicle shortly after the teen was hit. Police said a white female is seen driving to the rear of the fire station. She then got out of her car, walked toward the crash scene, then got back into her car and fled.
