A Hollywood Police officer was in critical condition after a motorcycle crash Monday.
The officer was trying to stop two motorcycles when they took off at a high rate of speed, Lt. Nicole Coffin said.
The crash occurred at 35th Avenue and Johnson Street, in front of Memorial Regional Hospital.
A doctor witnessed the incident and rendered aid immediately before Fire Rescue arrived and transported him into the trauma center.
“Everybody is praying, everybody is staying positive, and everybody is coming together like we always do in a situation like this," Coffin said.
