Home Invasion Victim Shot in the Neck in Stable Condition, Sketches Released: Police

Police said the suspects are two men in their 20s.

A woman that was shot in the neck last week during a home invasion is in stable condition, said officials after releasing sketches of her two suspected attackers.

The woman was shot last Wednesday by West Flagler Street and Northwest 69th Avenue, according to Miami Police.

Police said the suspects are two men in their 20s.

The men broke in and demanded the woman's belongings, but before leaving, one of the robbers shot her in the neck, said police.

After the attackers fled on foot, the woman sought help at a nearby beauty salon, police said. The salon owners told officials that the woman was bleeding badly and left a trail of bloody footprints.

She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, and although she was in critical condition, officials said she is expected to make a full recovery.

Authorities ask anyone with information on the incident to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
