Hurricane Joaquin Weakening in the Atlantic

Hurricane Joaquin is weakening as it moves rapidly across the Atlantic.

The hurricane's maximum sustained winds early Wednesday have decreased to near 75 mph (120 kph) with additional weakening expected.

The storm is centered about 465 miles (750 kilometers) south-southeast of Cape Race, Newfoundland, and is moving east-northeast near 32 mph (52 kph).
