Hurricanes Fall To Georgia Tech

The Hurricanes dropped Saturday's game to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 28-17

The Miami Hurricanes fell to 3-3 on the year after their 28-17 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

The loss dropped Miami to 1-2 in the ACC and it featured a touchdown in each quarter for Georgia Tech. The inconsistency from Miami's offense paled in comparison from the production shown by the Yellow Jackets all game long.

Brad Kaaya had a game to forget with two interceptions. The freshman quarterback started out well enough with a fast touchdown drive. The two picks would come later in the game as part of a 16-25 day. Kaaya ended up with 245 yards passing and now has 13 touchdowns this year to go along with nine picks.

Duke Johnson had another solid day on the ground going for 100 yards on 14 carries. Johnson also picked up his fifth rushing touchdown of the year. The junior now has one touchdown in each of his last five games.

The ball was spread around by Kaaya in the air with Phillip Dorsett picking up the bulk of the receiving yards. Dorsett tallied 75 yards on his three catches. Johnson also got involved in the air with three catches of his own for 52 more offensive yards. The early touchdown pass was caught by Braxton Berrios. The freshman now has three TD receptions this year.

Georgia Tech completely dominated time of possession holding onto the ball for over 40 minutes. A lot of that was due to an offensive attack that was almost completely on the ground. The Yellow Jackets had only 53 yards passing but 311 yards on the ground.

Miami will head home for a game against the Cincinnati Bearcats next Saturday.
