Hurricanes Improve to 4-0 at Georgia Tech

The Hurricanes beat Georgia Tech on Saturday to improve their record to 4-0 this year

The Miami Hurricanes remained perfect on the year with a 35-21 victory over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

With the win, Miami is now 4-0 on the season and an impressive 2-0 on the road. UM entered the game ranked 14th in the nation, and that ranking could improve following this win. The Hurricanes led from start to finish and had little trouble in putting away the Yellow Jackets.

While the margin of victory may have been smaller than Miami's three previous wins, Georgia Tech had difficulty stopping UM's offense and defense all game long. Miami held a 21-point lead during the second quarter and took a two-touchdown lead into the locker room at the half.

Brad Kaaya was solid with a 13-19 day and 241 yards. UM's quarterback threw one touchdown pass and did not give the ball away at all. Kaaya now has 8 touchdowns this year and only three picks.

Miami's running game was strong as well with two touchdowns. Joseph Yearby and Mark Walton each found the end zone once. Walton now has 8 touchdowns this year and at least one in each game.

The Hurricanes added another TD when Joe Jackson recovered a Georgia Tech fumble and took it into the end zone. It was the second defensive touchdown of the day UM. Shaquille Quarterman also returned a fumble for a TD earlier in the contest.

Up next for Miami is a big home against Florida State. The Hurricanes and Seminoles will take on one another next Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
