Firearms Stolen in Rash of Parkland Car Burglaries: BSO

Authorities are investigating a rash of car burglaries in Parkland that have resulted in at least five firearms being taken.

Since Feb. 7, at least seven car burglaries have been reported, with thieves walking driveway to driveway at night, pulling on car handles, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said Friday.

The thieves bypassed locked cars but entered unlocked ones, taking designer sunglasses, loose change, and firearms. Only one of the guns has been recovered.

Comedian Recovering From Brain Tumor Standing Up Against Odds

His jokes will have you in stitches — but comedian Kyle Grooms is dealing with some actual stitches of his own.

"It's tragedy now, but I'll turn tragedy into comedy," he said.

A few weeks ago he was rushed to the hospital with a not-so-funny diagnosis.

"I had a seizure in front of my kids, in front of my wife and I had to be rushed to the hospital, and then they found a tumor in my left frontal lobe that was bleeding," Grooms said.

Grooms couldn't even hold a microphone, and it affected his speech, so Dr. Clinton Burkett and his team at Memorial Regional Hospital ended up having to surgically remove the benign tumor from his brain.

Heat Raise Chris Bosh's No. 1 Jersey to the Rafters

Wearing a Heat championship ring on both hands, Bosh watched a giant banner bearing his name and No. 1 raised to the rafters of AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday night — then delivered an emotional address to the crowd, part of it even in Spanish as a show of respect to the Latin culture of Miami.

He is the fourth player to have his number retired by the Heat, joining Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway and Shaquille O'Neal.
