'Everybody Loved Her': Driver Sought After Woman Killed in Wynwood Hit-and-Run

Family members are hoping the public can help find a driver behind a Wynwood hit-and-run that was caught on camera and left a 62-year-old woman dead.

Rose Marie Jackson was in the area of Northwest 2nd Avenue and 21st Street around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday when she was struck by the vehicle, Miami Police officials said. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police released surveillance footage showing Jackson walking down the street when she was struck by the car, which police described as a dark-colored SUV with chrome trim.

ICE to Begin Immigration Raids Starting Sunday: Reports

The deportation of people living in the United States illegally that President Donald Trump tweeted about earlier this week are expected to begin Sunday and could target up to 2,000 immigrants, two sources familiar with the planning told NBC News Friday.

"Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States. They will be removed as fast as they come in," Trump tweeted Monday.

Florida Man Who Fatally Shot Unarmed Black Man in Parking Lot Wants Sheriff as Witness

A Florida man accused of shooting an unarmed black man over a parking space wants his local sheriff called as an expert witness.

Michael Drejka, 48, was arrested in Clearwater last year, after a dispute over a handicap parking space outside a convenience store ended in the death of 28-year-old Markeis McGlockton, who was unarmed.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri decided that Drejka was acting within the state’s “stand your ground” law. He was not arrested on site.

IKEA Announces Dressers, Chests Designed to Prevent Tip-overs

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is weighing in on a new dresser design meant to prevent furniture tip-overs.

Millions of dressers have been recalled, many of them from IKEA, but now the retailer says it has come up with a new design to help prevent tip-overs from happening in the first place.

For years parents and consumers safety advocates have been putting the pressure on the furniture industry to build safer dressers.
