Iglesias, Nadal Bring Spanish Cuisine To South Beach With New Restaurant Tatel

Miami is hungry not only to meet crooner Enrique Iglesias and tennis legend Rafael Nadal, but to take a taste of their duo’s restaurant, Tatel Miami, which finally opened on Miami Beach Monday.

It was media mayhem as two of Spain's biggest stars arrived at the restaurant they've partnered to bring to Miami from Madrid.

Iglesias who calls Miami home says he’s happy to finally have a taste of his homeland here.

“Spanish food is here in Miami. I've missed [it] since I was little kid. I think Tatel is a place where people are going to have fun but they're most importantly going to have good Spanish food,” said the singer.

A menu suggestion from Iglesias?

“For me, it's Tortilla Trufada, is my favorite,” said Iglesias.

World-renowned tennis star Nadal took a break from his Miami Open preps for opening night of Tatel Monday.

“We didn't expect that many people today,” said Nadal.

NBA star Pao Gasol, who was not at Monday’s grand opening, wraps up the trifecta of Spanish superstars bringing España to South Florida.

Tatel opens to the public Tuesday.

It’s located at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach at 1 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach.
