Authorities were investigating after they found an infant inside a freezer in home along Florida's Gulf coast.

Punta Gorda police said they got to the home on Sunday because of a medical call where a 27-year-old woman was hospitalized for bleeding. On Monday, police got information from hospital officials, and they went back to the house where they found the infant that evening.

The Medical Examiner's Office is conducting an autopsy.

Police went back to the house on Wednesday and are working closely with other agencies to gather evidence in the suspicious death.

No arrests have been made so far.
