Inmate Found After Escape From Work-Release Facility in Opa-locka

Authorities have found an inmate who escaped from a minimum security facility in Miami-Dade Friday.

Eric Mack, 35, escaped from the Opa-locka Community Release Center on Northwest 135th Street, Florida Department of Corrections officials said.

Officials said Mack left the facility without authorization from staff. He was later taken into custody by police in Miramar.

Records showed Mack has been at the facility since May, when he was given a 28-month sentence on a burglary case out of Broward County.
