Inspection Report Released on Sunny Isles Beach Building Explosion

New details have been released on the damage caused by an explosion that rocked a South Florida condo tower.

Photos were part of the final report released on Tuesday on this month's explosion at the Chateau Beach Residencies in Sunny Isles Beach.

The boiler room blast on the 34th floor was so powerful that it blew out the buckled service elevator doors all the way down to the first floor.

The explosion also caused damage to a neighboring hotel. Six people were hurt, including two firefighters.

The developer and the general contractor were cited for not properly purging the gas piping system.
