A fatal accident shut down Interstate 95 southbound for four hours early Sunday morning.
A man was struck and killed while trying to cross the highway lanes on foot near the 125th Street exit, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The four-hour delay caused traffic to back up into Broward County.
An investigation is now underway, as police are working to determine why the man was trying to cross the highway.
