The No. 1 high school basketball team in the state will be allowed to play in the postseason tourney despite alleged rules violations.

Dr. Michael Krop Senior High School will get a chance to win a state basketball championship thanks to a big assist from a Miami-Dade judge.
The school which was forced to forfeit 19 games because of an immigration controversy will be allowed to play in the state tournament after a judge granted an injunction against the Florida High School Athletics Association's decision to boot the team from postseason play.
The entire controversy centers on senior guard Brian Delancy, who is a Bahamian immigrant.
The state ruled earlier this week that he did not have the proper paperwork to play high school sports.
Krop was turned in by Carol City Senior High School, who they will have to face on the court Thursday.
The school had to forfeit any game he played in as an ineligible player, the FHSAA ordered.
That meant the No. 1 team in the state and one of the top teams in the country would miss the state tournament.
But support from the community and work from pro bono lawyers brought the fight from the basketball court to the court of law and it looks like a desperation heave has swished through the net.
It's unclear what the FHSAA's next step will be.
Tournament play starts Thursday.
