A Key West man is facing assault and battery charges after he broke into his ex-wife's home and destroyed her television before going to her workplace and attacking her and her current boyfriend, authorities said Tuesday.

George Felix Rodriguez, 50, was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault, battery, criminal mischief and burglary, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office said. He was being held without bond Tuesday and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.

Authorities said Rodriguez entered his ex-wife's house on Sugarloaf Key without permission and took her 65-inch TV and threw it off a balcony and onto a driveway. When he left the home, he drove over the TV with his truck, destroying it, the sheriff's office said.

Rodriguez then went to his ex-wife's work on Rockland Key, where he grabbed her by the hair and hit her, authorities said. He also confronted her boyfriend and the two got into a fight, with Rodriguez trying to hit the boyfriend's head against a metal truck bumper, authorities said.

An employee was able to pull the two apart and when deputies responded to the business, they took Rodriguez into custody.
