Kickoff Time Announced for Dolphins-Jets Game at Wembley

The Dolphins and Jets will kick their tilt in London off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern on October 4th

The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets will kick their October 4th game at Wembley Stadium in London off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.

This will be the third time that the Dolphins play a regular season game at Wembley and also the second straight season. The Dolphins had one of their more convincing wins this past season when they demolished the Oakland Raiders 38-14 in London.

The 2:30 p.m local time start marks the earliest London-based game for Miami thus far. The previous two contests both kicked off at 6:00 p.m. locally which was 1:00 p.m. Eastern. It means an early wake-up call for Miami fans in what is annually one of the more interesting games.

One team had to lose a home game and it will be Miami that ends up doing so. While the Dolphins will travel to New York next year, the Jets will not visit Sun Life Stadium in the regular season. This will result in only seven games on Miami's home field next season. The game against the Raiders this past year was considered an Oakland home game.

The Dolphins and Jets split their 2014 games with each team taking one in the other team's building. While Miami could look similar, the Jets will have a different look. Following a very disappointing season, New York fired its head coach Rex Ryan and general manager John Idzik.

In addition to the coaching and front office change, the Jets could make on-field personnel changes as well. Their 4-12 season has them in a solid draft position and there is no guarantee that quarterback Geno Smith retains his starting role.

The game in London will come in the fourth week of the season and is likely to be followed by Miami's bye week.
