The past year’s zaniest headlines come to life during the 30th King Mango Strut in Coconut Grove starting at 2 p.m.

Organizers welcome pepper spray enthusiasts and other satire-loving South Floridians to join Time Magazine’s Person of the Year protesting protestors protesting protestors, Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 plan for “Women for Cain,” the “Wizard of Odds” at Miami’s new destination casino, African snails, Dr. Buttock Fix-A-Flat butt and "The Real Housewives of Bin Laden,"  as well as dozens of other groups and floats.

The parade starts at the corner of Commodore Plaza and Main Highway, then turns left onto Main Highway and left again at Grand Avenue in front of Cocowalk.

Zoo Miami’s Ron Magill serves as the grand marshal with Katy Sorenson, the never-recalled/never-indicted/never-removed-by-the-governor former Miami-Dade Commissioner, who is serving as a strut celebrity.

For the first time in its 30-year history, original parade organizers also held an offshoot parade, the Wynwood King Mango Strut, on Dec. 10. The Grove parade is free.
