Music revelers, clad in boots and cowboy hats, turned out Sunday to hear the all-star lineup at Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff.
The artists scheduled for the event, held at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, were Luke Bryan, Ronnie Dunn, Thompson Square, Florida Georgia Line, and Kacey Musgraves, according to the event’s website.
Sunday, plenty of cooks stayed busy preparing chili and other food. “We’re out here trying to get competitive with some of my friends who are great cooks,” said Chris Everhart, with Colorado Chili.
Some eventgoers were seen shopping for hats and souvenirs at kiosks. And people even puckered up for a smooch at a kissing booth.
“Good chili, good food, good people,” said one eventgoer. “Everyone is out here to have a good time.”
