An Overtown family got a rude awakening early Thursday as severe weather caused a tree from a neighboring property to come crashing down onto their apartment.
Thankfully, no one was injured when the tree fell overnight on top of the multi-unit apartment building at 219 Northwest 16th Street.
Miami Dade Fire Rescue teams have taped off the area where the large tree fell.
