Sunny Isles Park Swimming Advisory Lifted

Water samples collected from other beach sites were satisfactory.

The last swimming advisory issued for a Miami-Dade beach was lifted Friday after test results it was safe.

The Miami-Dade County Health Department says that swimming is now safe at the Sunny Isles Park at174 St. and Collins Ave.
   
Water samples collected from other beach sites were satisfactory.
 
Three Miami-Dade beaches were issued swimming advisories on Thursday for excess amounts of enterococci, an indicator of fecal matter, according to the health department. Its source may be storm water run-off, wildlife, and pets and human sewage.
 
The other beaches affected were Crandon Park South and North Shore Park.
