Local DJ Found Guilty on DUI Manslaughter Charges in Coral Gables Crash That Killed 2

A local DJ charged with killing two people in a violent crash in Coral Gables more than two years ago was found guilty on DUI manslaughter charges Friday.

Ervens Prudent was convicted on all charges in the June 9, 2013 crash that killed 44-year-old Maria Martinez and 34-year-old Marlon Gutierrez.

He faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a maximum of 30 years at sentencing.

According to police, Prudent rear-ended another car that had stopped at a traffic light on Southwest 8th Street and Douglas Road. Martinez and Gutierrez, who were in that car, were killed at the scene.

Prudent was also injured in the crash.

Prudent, 28, is known as DJ A.O.L. in his North Miami community where is a producer and songwriter.
